Best experience at UC Merced: Being a member of the Student Affairs Advisory Committee. Speaking at Chancellor Kang's Inauguration. Speaking at two legislative hearings. My Job!

Worst experience at UC Merced: My sophomore year the tram was not in operation. That year it also rained a lot, at least by any comparison to the rain we have had this year. Walking up the hill in the pouring rain every day because there was not a tram.....yeeeah that wasn't fun.

Favorite things to do off-campus: Going to Don Pedro lake with my family (it's about 25mins. away from UCM). Spending time in downtown Merced. Ice Skating in Yosemite.

In five year's, I'd like to be... In five years I would like to have a Master's degree in psychology. I would like to become a community college psychology instructor or continue working in student affairs.

My legacy at UC Merced: I hope that i contributed to making UCM an even better university for the classes to follow me. As a member of the first class, I had several unique opportunities to express my opinions about campus operations to people responsible for making decisions about campus growth. I am from Merced County and I truely feel that this university was built for me. The only UC I seriously considered was UCM, because all of the others are simply to far away from my hometown. I am glad that I will be one of the first students to prove to the legislation of California that building a UC in the central valley was the right choice.
